Enjoy your weekend!

I wish the Spring season was overwhelmingly obvious but it still looks and feels like winter out there.  I am hanging out in my glider right now wrapped up in the blanketRosa made for me (and the baby).  Have to wash clothes today, go to the post office and the grocery, get Brad's hair trimmed and get ready for a birthday party.  Looking forward to a hot shower and blowing out my hair.  I hope you all are finding joy in whatever tasks you have to accomplish today.  Or just stay put and continue to enjoy your bed, sofa, glider...  That sounds nice too.

Have a Cozy Weekend

As the weather gets cooler, I wish everyone a warm and cozy weekend, filled with rest and hopefully some fun. To anyone who has suffered because of the storm, I hope you are finding your way back to peace and normalcy, you have many thoughts and prayers with you. My Mom and I are heading out to L.A. this weekend for some considerably warmer weather and some wedding dress shopping for my sister Aisha. We are on the hunt for a red wedding dress! She has always wanted to wear red on her wedding day; it's pretty awesome Vera Wang decided to do a collection of red gowns just in time for her wedding;)

I'll see you back here next week! And don't forget to set your clocks back tomorrow before you go to bed...

Such a great weekend

That's what I hope you all say come Monday morning.  Do something fun and different with your hair, go for a walk by yourself and talk, or take care of that particular item you've been delaying.  Every day is a gift and weekends especially so.  I know I'm looking forward to it, for no reason other than it is my time and mine alone.

Last weekend I spent some time looking through Amber Gray's beautiful photo portfolio.  She is behind the camera of the above pics as well as the ones in the post below.  So pretty.  Talk to you all soon!

Mind Full

Have so much on my mind... Wedding stuff (less than 2 months away now!); Moving stuff (less than 2 weeks away!); America stuff (threats to our Constitutional rights and impending loss of liberty - makes me heartsick). My mind is full and my eyes are tired. Haven't been sleeping well. Thank goodness tomorrow is Saturday so I can gather myself up.

It's cold but it's Friday

It's around 50 degrees and windy in DC today... not the kind of weather that makes me giddy for the weekend but I'm giddy for the weekend nonetheless. I hope you all enjoy this last weekend in April...
